Viva Elvis by Cirque du Soleil in Las Vegas

Entertainment is what Las Vegas is all about and no visit is complete without taking in at least one show. Cirque du Soleil has taken the meaning of a Las Vegas show to a new level, with various high-end productions available all over the strip. One also can’t think of Vegas without visions of the King of Rock and Roll, Elvis Presley. Viva Elvis by Cirque du Soleil is a fusion of dance, acrobatics, and the nostalgia of Elvis Presley’s music all rolled into one fabulous experience.

Visitors to Las Vegas can get the best of the best with Viva Elvis, a Cirque du Soleil creation that entertains the masses with the sexy, sultry and sweet story of Elvis Presley. During a girlfriend getaway to Las Vegas, MommyMusings, ThemeparkMom, and myself enjoyed a nice dinner at Julian Serrano inside of Aria Casino and Resort, followed by Viva Elvis.

I’ve been to a few Cirque du Soleil shows before, and I thought it would be a similar production to past productions I’ve attended from this company. Viva Elvis wasn’t what I expected, but was a marriage of contemporary versions of Elvis Presley hits with his life story brought alive with Cirque du Soleil personality. Viva Elvis doesn’t just appeal to those who remember Elvis when he was alive, but introduces this amazing artist to new generations.

After seeing Viva Elvis and experiencing previous unseen footage of Elvis Presley, I can see why he appealed to so many fans over the decades. This tasteful production is appropriate for any age and I fell in love with Elvis and Las Vegas all over again. Viva Elvis is exciting, poignant, and all around entertaining.

Viva Elvis is a permanent show at Aria Casino and Resort at CityCenter in Las Vegas. Aria Casino and Resort was our lodging choice during our girlfriend getaway and we weren’t disappointed. The Casino seemed smoke free, even though smoking is allowed inside. The air filtration system at this property makes Aria seem to be a healthy lodging choice for visitors to Las Vegas. I personally suffer from breathing issues around smoke and didn’t have any problems while lodging at Aria.
