Top Disney Tips and Deals Sites

I’ve been excited preparing for next week’s Walt Disney World trip and also the #DisneySMMoms Conference in March. It isn’t my first trip to the Orlando area and I know it won’t be my last. Not everyone gets excited about Disney, and that’s okay, but for those planning travel to Disneyland or Walt Disney World, the following information may prove helpful or at least point you in the right direction.

Celebrate a Dream Come True paradeI don’t claim to be a Disney expert, merely a fan and consumer searching for a magical Disney experience and maybe a few money saving tips. Here are some of the sites I personally visit when planning any visit to a Disney Park:

TravelingMamas.com – It may sound silly to visit my own site, but I can’t remember every fact I’ve written off the top of my head. I do revisit my own content to print out lists of places to get a glass of wine or beer in Disney or some other ideas I may have forgotten about. Plus, the other contributors on here offer some amazing information about visiting Disney Parks. That’s why we’ve put together all of our own content about Walt Disney World Resorts and Parks in one easy to access page. Check out our collection of Walt Disney World tips.

ThemeparkMom – Contributor Leigh M. Caldwell is the woman behind ThemeparkMom.com and covers all things theme parks, including an amazing amount of Disney tips and deals, all in one site. Leigh lives in the Orlando area and has her finger on the pulse of all the happenings and events at Disney. She also appears on television imparting theme park visiting wisdom to viewers.

MommyMusings – Stefanie Fauquet is MommyMusings.com and while she’s a Disney fanatic, she’s also a savvy shopper and deal finder. I don’t know how she finds some of the money saving tips she does, but I recently consulted her on how to celebrate a birthday at Walt Disney World without costing an arm and a leg. She provided some fabulous advice that will help me make the weekend transition from tween to teen an amazing and special event.

MouseSavers.comMousesavers.com has been around for over a decade and offers updated ticket discount information and deals. The site also offers practical advice on traveling to Orlando without paying Disney Resort prices. If you’re looking for a Disney discount, Mary at Mousesavers.com has you covered.

DISboards.com – Before you even click the link to DISboards.com,  make sure you don’t have any plans for the next few hours. The forums with Disney tips and money saving advice will suck you in like a black hole. This is the site where I first heard about Mousesavers.com many, many years ago and I have lost hours, if not days of my life reading all the postings. Fortunately, I saved tons of money and grief in exchange for these lost days. This is the granddaddy of all Disney sites and one not to miss.

WDWRadio – Lou Mongello isn’t just really cool, he’s also Disney cool. Lou is the voice behind WDWRadio.com. If you are a Disney fan or planning the one trip you’ll ever take in your life, be sure to check out Lou’s site rich in audio, video, and word content. Download his podcasts to listen to as you drive to work or wait in an airport, you’ll be glad you did.

I’m just scratching the surface on sites that offer Disney tips and deals. There is of course, Disney’s main website and the Disney Mom’s Panel, but I wanted to list some non-official Disney sites that impress me. I know there are so many out there with information to help travelers plan their trip to Disney. Please feel free to share sites YOU know about that offer great information for travelers.

I’m honored to be considered alongside so many wonderful other sites and appreciate you listening to, and recommending the show. Like you, I’m fueled by my passion, and consider myself fortunate to be able to share that love of Disney with others.

Hope to see you again soon! Keep up the great work – really enjoying the what you’re doing on the site (and loved every entry on your 10 Great Restaurants list!!) 🙂
