I’m so tired of carrying around all these items for language translators. I have a book, an electronic gadget, and even that immersion language program that is advertised everywhere. This is a common Festivus Grievance. But thankfully, Random House has stepped up to the plate and offers an affordable and convenient translator – iKnow Living…
Italy, Hawaii, Australia, Alaska, Ireland, Paris, and tropical getaways seem to be tops on everyone’s list of dream places to visit. The last time someone mentioned to me that they dreamed of going to Australia, I encouraged her to go. It happened to be my cousin, who came back after a two week tour to sell her…
Spending quality time as a family, even when on a vacation can sometimes be hard to manage. If going to theme parks or other lively destinations, sometimes members of a family go off in smaller groups. One fun aspect of travel as a family is staying in a condo or vacation home where there are…
Poo-Pourri – I noticed this product in gift shops around where I live and had to giggle and point it out to my shopping companions. The concept is actually pretty smart, even if people won’t admit to buying it. My husband was kind enough to try this product out and says it should be available…
You’ve seen the reviews and heard about how The Traveling Mamas traveled like rock stars in Joe’s Jeans. Now, you can do the same. I’m not too keen on hearing screaming kids when I’m on a flight. I really don’t want to listen to screaming kids, especially when they’re MY screaming kids. Now, moms all over the globe can block out the whining of their six year old with this nifty noise reduction headset. No longer will you have to…

Pack the makeup essentials when traveling.
To avoid packing my entire make-up bag, I make sure I have the bare essentials – Moisturizer and make up removing facial wipes. It’s much easier than packing your entire facial cleansing system since we know traveling with liquids in you carry on can be problematic at airports. Secondly, I tend to travel with a small compact with multi-color eyeshadows that can double as blush (Bobbi Brown’s Color Brick) is my favorite. Happy travels!
Ziploc bags (in case of leaks or powder breakage) and makeup palettes (to save space). They make makeup packing so much easier!
Fill up smaller travel sized bottles with all the beauty products you take on vacation – saves a lot of room!
I always make sure to keep my face moisturized if I’m traveling by air and I keep the makeup to a minimum.

make sure liquids are sealed tight!
My makeup tip is to ask the sales assistant when you buy a product to give you a couple of small empty sample pots and then fill them with things like foundation, moisturiser, when you travel to avoid packing the whole bottle.
I just try to bring the products I know I’m going to use .
Make sure you have a makeup bag for everything you need.
