I have a sordid secret – I’m one of those hotel bathroom amenity hoarders.
Who doesn’t love swanky and upscale mini bathroom amenities when traveling? They’re so cute. And so collectible. When I travel, I do use the in-room amenities available onsite, but if there is a bar of soap or bottle of shampoo left unopened, it’s totally going in my luggage as I pack for the flight back home. My overnight guests love it, as when they visit, I have a wide collection of hotel soaps and haircare products for them to choose from.
I know I’m not the only travel blogger or writer with this problem. After Hurricane Katrina, my travel writing friends from all over the globe sent me boxes and boxes of hotel amenities they had been hoarding so that I could deliver the goods to the Red Cross shelters in my area. But I digress. What really excited me this week was getting a sample of Hilton Hotels & Resorts new line of bath amenities from Peter Thomas Roth.
I opened the unexpected package and will admit that at first glance, I thought the packaging was geared toward the metrosexual business traveler. Then I opened the container of body wash to check out the scent. I immediately felt my mind refresh with the citrus aroma. It’s a rejuvenating body wash with moisturizing beads that made me feel like I was at a spa.

The new amenities provide a luxury, spa-quality product that meets the range of beauty needs among travelers. Keeping global travelers top of mind, Hilton Hotels & Resorts worked closely with Roth to create a unique in-room collection created for Hilton, which includes:
