Earlier this week, we celebrated Independence Day here in the USA. Our Canadian friends celebrated Canada Day and all around the globe countries celebrate important milestones in history by lighting up the sky with colorful bursts of fireworks throughout the year. Before we realize it, New Years Eve will sneak up on us, with more…
This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Carmex. All opinions are 100% mine. In the southern US, everyone knows someone who is either a hunter or has a camp of some sort. My grandparents had a fishing camp in Pierre Part, Louisiana and some acreage in Pine Grove, Louisiana. We called…
Emergency preparedness is a serious issue, especially with the serious winter storms hitting the US this year. With flights being cancelled so often, may travelers are finding themselves stuck at their destination or taking things on the road to brave the weather. Whether you are traveling by car or by air, there are few items…
If you’re searching for those last minute stocking stuffers this holiday season, we’ve put together a list of small, travel sized items that not only fit in the stockings, but also travel well. Tide to Go – I don’t know about you, but my chest area seems to be a magnet for bright colored, liquid…
I was oblivious to the tourism importance of Man Malls until two appeared near my city. Hotels began to pop up, and even good ole Starbucks opened for business in these no-longer rural areas. My family decided to take a Sunday drive to Cabela’s, located in Gonzales, LA. I was completely shocked when traffic halted on…

Pack the makeup essentials when traveling.
To avoid packing my entire make-up bag, I make sure I have the bare essentials – Moisturizer and make up removing facial wipes. It’s much easier than packing your entire facial cleansing system since we know traveling with liquids in you carry on can be problematic at airports. Secondly, I tend to travel with a small compact with multi-color eyeshadows that can double as blush (Bobbi Brown’s Color Brick) is my favorite. Happy travels!
Ziploc bags (in case of leaks or powder breakage) and makeup palettes (to save space). They make makeup packing so much easier!
Fill up smaller travel sized bottles with all the beauty products you take on vacation – saves a lot of room!
I always make sure to keep my face moisturized if I’m traveling by air and I keep the makeup to a minimum.

make sure liquids are sealed tight!
My makeup tip is to ask the sales assistant when you buy a product to give you a couple of small empty sample pots and then fill them with things like foundation, moisturiser, when you travel to avoid packing the whole bottle.
I just try to bring the products I know I’m going to use .
Make sure you have a makeup bag for everything you need.
