When my children were younger, like most moms, I traveled with a bag filled with every item imaginable. An item that took up half the bag space were the diapers. Not only were they bulky, but if a bottle happened to leak in the bag or something spilled, the diaper would get wet and be…
The holiday season will find many travelers on the road, driving to visit relatives for that annual visit. Some travelers may opt to stay with their relatives while many others choose to stay in a hotel or vacation rental near the family gathering place. I know when my family travels, we not only try to…
I was shopping at Sephora the other day and came across this nifty little kit that’s perfect for a Traveling Mama – the Minimergency Kit for Her by Ms. & Mrs. It’s a fist-sized little bag that contains 16 essential beauty and personal care items for any Mama on the Move. At $12 retail, I…
This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Carmex. All opinions are 100% mine. In the southern US, everyone knows someone who is either a hunter or has a camp of some sort. My grandparents had a fishing camp in Pierre Part, Louisiana and some acreage in Pine Grove, Louisiana. We called…
I’m a big fan of packing light. However, some travel involves packing a bit more than usual. I recently tried out the Caribbean Joe Cayman 3 piece hardside spinner luggage set on a few different trips, to see if the various luggage sizes were practical and useful. At First Glance: The luggage arrived via UPS…
I’m always on the lookout for great travel and fashion finds. I do my best to find clothing that is both practical and stylish, so that I can look and feel great while traveling. Pack the makeup essentials when traveling.
To avoid packing my entire make-up bag, I make sure I have the bare essentials – Moisturizer and make up removing facial wipes. It’s much easier than packing your entire facial cleansing system since we know traveling with liquids in you carry on can be problematic at airports. Secondly, I tend to travel with a small compact with multi-color eyeshadows that can double as blush (Bobbi Brown’s Color Brick) is my favorite. Happy travels!
Ziploc bags (in case of leaks or powder breakage) and makeup palettes (to save space). They make makeup packing so much easier!
Fill up smaller travel sized bottles with all the beauty products you take on vacation – saves a lot of room!
I always make sure to keep my face moisturized if I’m traveling by air and I keep the makeup to a minimum.

make sure liquids are sealed tight!
My makeup tip is to ask the sales assistant when you buy a product to give you a couple of small empty sample pots and then fill them with things like foundation, moisturiser, when you travel to avoid packing the whole bottle.
I just try to bring the products I know I’m going to use .
Make sure you have a makeup bag for everything you need.
