HGTV Dream Home 2011 in Stowe, Vermont

It’s that time of year – the annual Rose Bowl Parade, the Rose Bowl itself, and the HGTV Dream Home Sweepstakes. This year the house is set in Stowe, Vermont and you can have two chances daily to win until February 18, 2011 on HGTV.com and FrontDoor.com.

The HGTV Dream Home 2011 in Stowe, Vermont features a ski dorm straight out of a destination ski lodge. Architect Robert Paul Rousselle designed an inspirational gathering spot for generations of one fortunate family. Just looking at the artist renderings as the home developed seemed to wrap me up in a cozy cocoon for winter hibernation, with the added benefit of some astounding views.

Stowe Ski Resort is one of the top ski destinations in the United States and the HGTV Dream Home 2011 is a ski lovers delight. Visitors to this resort area can tour the Dream Home from January 7, 2011 until March 20, 2011o Fridays, Saturdays and Sunday from 2pm to 5pm. There is a tour admission fee of $20 plus a $2 handling fee. Ticket tour proceeds benefit the Mt. Mansfield Winter Academy. Children under three years of age are admitted at no charge, but they must be carried throughout the entire tour.

The tour begins and ends at the concierge desk on the upper level of Spruce Camp Base Lodge at Spruce Peak, Stowe Mountain Resort. Be sure to dress warm and wear your outdoor shoes as you’ll spend some time walking in outdoor areas. Visitors need to arrive 30 minutes before the tour starts.
