The holiday season is upon us in full swing with many of you preparing for holiday travels to see out-of-town family, or you may have family coming to your homes. I just love decorating the tree with the kids for this time of year. We always bake cookies and make hot chocolate while placing the…
Checked baggage fees with airlines keep going up and up and up. On my last flight, everyone had large carry on bags and there were hardly any checked bags. Of course, there are risks involved with checking your luggage AND with bringing a carry on. When my husband and I flew American Airlines from Dallas…
Teachers hold a special place in my heart. Not only are they the souls who teach our future, but there are also a good number of teachers in my family. My aunt is a first grade teacher in Alabama and my sister in law is a middle school French teacher here in Louisiana. I also…
A few months ago a friend sent me a link to an Australian commercial hawking a similar product. It helps gals stand up to pee. I’m a country girl and have no qualms with squatting behind a bush, but I do know that I always wonder if something is going to bite my behind. Maybe…
By Bob Knorpp A suitcase that carried moon rocks back to earth?!? Just try to top that! Yet that’s the territory Zero Halliburton can claim. On the evening of June 16th, Zero Halliburton — the original maker of industrial strength aluminum travel cases — launched their first US flagship location at 300 Madison Avenue in…
I’ve got Disney on the brain, thanks to the recent Disney Dream cruise ship launch, my upcoming stint as a chaperone for a school Disney trip, and next month’s Disney Social Media Moms event. I’ve been brainstorming on how to make the school trip even more fun and exciting than it already is. I’ll admit,…

Pack the makeup essentials when traveling.
To avoid packing my entire make-up bag, I make sure I have the bare essentials – Moisturizer and make up removing facial wipes. It’s much easier than packing your entire facial cleansing system since we know traveling with liquids in you carry on can be problematic at airports. Secondly, I tend to travel with a small compact with multi-color eyeshadows that can double as blush (Bobbi Brown’s Color Brick) is my favorite. Happy travels!
Ziploc bags (in case of leaks or powder breakage) and makeup palettes (to save space). They make makeup packing so much easier!
Fill up smaller travel sized bottles with all the beauty products you take on vacation – saves a lot of room!
I always make sure to keep my face moisturized if I’m traveling by air and I keep the makeup to a minimum.

make sure liquids are sealed tight!
My makeup tip is to ask the sales assistant when you buy a product to give you a couple of small empty sample pots and then fill them with things like foundation, moisturiser, when you travel to avoid packing the whole bottle.
I just try to bring the products I know I’m going to use .
Make sure you have a makeup bag for everything you need.
