Serenity at Coconut Bay Review: A Private Luxury All-Inclusive Escape in St. Lucia
If your idea of a Caribbean escape includes privacy, personalized service, and your own plunge pool just steps from your bed, then Serenity at Coconut Bay might be exactly what you’re looking for.
On a recent trip to Saint Lucia, my husband James and I spent two nights here, and while it was a short stay, it left a lasting impression. This isn’t your typical all-inclusive resort. Serenity is designed to feel like your own private hideaway, with just enough connection to the outside world when you want it.
First Impressions: From Airport to Paradise
One of the standout perks? Complimentary airport transfers.
After landing at Hewanorra International Airport, we made our way to the Coconut Bay arrivals desk, where our luggage was tagged with our suite number. Within minutes, we were whisked away in a private car.

Upon arrival, we were greeted with fresh coconut drinks, and our butler, Daniel, welcomed us like returning guests. Since our flight arrived early, we relaxed at the bar with a cocktail crafted by Ray while our suite was being prepared.
And then, just like that, we were escorted to our private sanctuary.

The Premium Plunge Pool Suite Experience
We stayed in a Premium Plunge Pool Suite, which offers a bit more space than the entry-level option… and importantly, includes an outdoor shower.
The entire suite is enclosed within a private courtyard, complete with:
- Plunge pool
- Wet bar (fully stocked to your preferences before arrival)
- Hammock and sitting area
- Outdoor shower
Inside, the suite features:
- A massive four-poster bed
- Soaking tub and large walk-in shower
- His-and-her closets
- Desk and lounge chair
- In-room coffee and a curated selection of spirits
Before arrival, your butler contacts you to customize your in-room bar, even down to mixers. There’s also a pillow menu, which adds another layer of personalization.
We didn’t waste a second. After settling in, we immediately slipped into our plunge pool with cocktails in hand. It was the kind of moment that makes you exhale and think, yes, this is exactly what we needed.
Butler Service: Thoughtful, Personal, Seamless
The butler service at Serenity is intuitive without being intrusive.
Daniel took care of us upon arrival, and during his day off, McCarthy stepped in seamlessly, arranging everything from beach transportation to checking in on us throughout the day.
Some standout touches:
- Welcome snacks and a bubble bath drawn upon arrival
- Turndown service with eye masks, pillow spray, and handwritten notes
- Coordinated golf cart rides to the beach
- Assistance with dining and daily plans
- A dedicated mobile phone to contact butler at any time
It never felt overdone, just genuinely thoughtful.
The staff at Serenity truly elevate the experience, and it starts from the top. During our stay, we had the pleasure of meeting Christopher Chin, whose leadership is reflected in the thoughtful service and attention to detail throughout the resort. It’s clear that creating a personalized, memorable guest experience is a priority here, and it shows in every interaction.

Dining & Evenings at Serenity
One of our favorite experiences was the wine pairing dinner, hosted poolside at sunset. The sky alone felt like a show, painted in colors that reminded me of the Sistine Chapel ceiling.
Nella and Charles guided us through the evening, and every course felt intentional and beautifully paired.
Other highlights:
- Fresh, flavorful “Catch of the Day” at dinner
- Relaxed cocktails at the bar with Lee (who quickly learned our favorites)
- Live music from Bree and her cousin on guitar… romantic and intimate
There’s also a livelier side if you want it. We wandered into karaoke one evening and found ourselves laughing along with other couples enjoying the night.
A Perfect Beach Day (With Butler Service, Of Course)
Serenity guests have access to a private beach area, and this is where the butler service really shines.
McCarthy escorted us via golf cart (highly recommend leaning into that experience) to our private cabana, which included:
- Double daybed swing
- Lounge chairs
- Outdoor shower
- Cooler stocked with drinks
We spent the day moving between the ocean, the hammock, and the shade… completely relaxed. There’s also a casual burger hut nearby, which made for an easy, no-fuss lunch.
A Note on Location & the Larger Resort
Serenity is tucked within the larger Coconut Bay Beach Resort & Spa property, but it feels worlds away.
During a site tour with Mia, I visited Harmony at Coconut Bay, an adults-only section with more traditional hotel-style rooms and ocean views at a lower price point.
This setup actually makes Serenity a great option for:
- Destination weddings
- Multigenerational trips
- Groups with different budgets
You get your private luxury escape, while others can stay nearby with a different experience.
A Few Helpful Tips Before You Go
- Pack earplugs: Nature in St. Lucia is loud, frogs and insects are part of the soundtrack
- Stay longer than two nights: Trust me, it’s not enough
- Take advantage of pre-arrival preferences: It makes a difference
- Plan at least one beach cabana day
The Grand Romance Package: Worth Knowing Before You Book
For couples planning a longer stay, Serenity offers an added perk that’s worth noting.
Guests who stay seven nights or longer receive the Grand Romance Package, which includes a collection of elevated experiences designed to enhance a romantic getaway.
While offerings may vary, this can include:
- Private dining experiences
- Spa treatments
- Special in-suite touches
- Additional curated surprises
It’s the kind of added value that makes a longer stay even more appealing, especially for honeymoons, anniversaries, or milestone celebrations.

Who Serenity at Coconut Bay Is Best For
This is an adults-only resort that leans heavily romantic, but it’s not just for honeymooners.
We met guests celebrating:
- Anniversaries
- Milestone birthdays
- Weddings and group events
Best for:
- Couples seeking privacy and relaxation
- Honeymoons and romantic getaways
- Travelers who value personalized service

Final Thoughts: Is Serenity at Coconut Bay Worth It?
Absolutely, especially if you’re looking for a private, luxury all-inclusive experience in St. Lucia.
What sets Serenity apart isn’t just the suites or amenities, it’s how the entire experience feels curated, calm, and intentional.
For us, two nights felt like a tease. We left already talking about when we could return, and next time, we’d stay longer, book that in-suite massage, and maybe even take that sunset jazz cruise.
