Images of Ireland for St. Patrick’s Day

A few years ago I had the amazing opportunity to tour Ireland with the Irish Tourism Board. It’s one of the favorite trips I’ve ever taken in my life. From the moment the plane began to descend over emerald green fields, to the moment I reluctantly boarded my return flight a week later, Ireland was everything I could ever dream of, and more.

When people think of Ireland, they think of St. Patricks Day, like today! Ireland is romantic, affordable, and full of literary greats.

Ireland calls up images of a shamrock or a four leaf clover. I once found a patch of four leaf clovers.

Of course there are leprechauns and the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.

For me, I think of faery rings and legends.

I also think of beaches…

….and golf.

Happy St. Paddy’s Day, wherever you may be! What type of St. Patrick’s Day activities do you have planned?
