Many people travel to New York City for family vacations and during holidays. A frequent question we get from readers is: What are the best hotels along the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade Route? Visitors are already planning a trip for the next Thanksgiving holiday, and we want to make sure our readers have the information they need to make the most out of their family vacation to New York City.

Before booking a hotel room in New York City for best viewing the Macy’s Parade, be sure to call and speak to the hotel directly and enquire about parade viewing policies and parade view rooms. You’ll want a mid-level room for viewing from your hotel room and make sure you book a room on the side the parade passes. Some hotels have a minimum number of required nights for booking during this holiday season and may not allow refunds for cancellations. There will also be a limit to the number of people allowed inside the room. A few of these hotels even offer viewing parties, such as the Mandarin Oriental.

The parade begins on the corner of 77th Street and Central Park West and travels 2 and half miles through the heart of New York City, ending at Macy’s Herald Square on 7th Avenue. For the full, interactive parade route visit the Official Macy’s Site.

Here are a few NYC hotels we have personally visited, that are on or near the Thanksgiving Day parade route that offer packages and viewing areas.
