Our readers may have noticed that we don’t discuss politics or get into religious discussions on Traveling Mamas. Why? Because this is a blog about travel. So in honor of all those celebrating whatever holiday you celebrate this time of year, Traveling Mamas is officially celebrating Festivus for the Rest of Us. The CajunMama household…
I get many press releases daily, but every once in a while I get one that strikes a chord with me. This morning, while feeling a bit tired and rundown from a recent trip to Canada, I checked my email to find this title: HEALING FOR THE CONSTANT JET SETTER COMES IN THE FORM OF…
You’ve seen the reviews and heard about how The Traveling Mamas traveled like rock stars in Joe’s Jeans. Now, you can do the same. My review of the LG 55LM7600 55 inch Class Cinema 3D 1080P 240HZ LED TV with SmartTV For the past few months between trips, I’ve been enjoying the experience of learning about 3D TV thanks to LG. I was sent a television to review for a limited time and its come in quite handy during…
I’ve been searching for road trip music for all the many road trips I have planned this summer. I like to find tracks that go with the destination, kind of like my own soundtrack. I came across artist William Joseph, who released a new CD, BEYOND. I decided to do a little research on him…
Consolidating all of a traveling mamas’ gear into one carry-on bag can be a daunting task. Shoes are items that can not only take up a lot of space, but can ruin the clothes you pack along beside them. A hot trend I’ve noticed lately is the wide variety of travel shoe bags available for…

Pack the makeup essentials when traveling.
To avoid packing my entire make-up bag, I make sure I have the bare essentials – Moisturizer and make up removing facial wipes. It’s much easier than packing your entire facial cleansing system since we know traveling with liquids in you carry on can be problematic at airports. Secondly, I tend to travel with a small compact with multi-color eyeshadows that can double as blush (Bobbi Brown’s Color Brick) is my favorite. Happy travels!
Ziploc bags (in case of leaks or powder breakage) and makeup palettes (to save space). They make makeup packing so much easier!
Fill up smaller travel sized bottles with all the beauty products you take on vacation – saves a lot of room!
I always make sure to keep my face moisturized if I’m traveling by air and I keep the makeup to a minimum.

make sure liquids are sealed tight!
My makeup tip is to ask the sales assistant when you buy a product to give you a couple of small empty sample pots and then fill them with things like foundation, moisturiser, when you travel to avoid packing the whole bottle.
I just try to bring the products I know I’m going to use .
Make sure you have a makeup bag for everything you need.
