Getting a Shuttle or Taxi to LVCC for #CES 2011

Waiting for a taxi to CES at Aria at CityCenter (c) Shannon Hurst Lane | TravelingMamas.comGetting to the Las Vegas Convention Center for the International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) from your hotel is a nightmare. Be prepared to wait around 45 minutes for a taxi to LVCC from any hotel in the mornings. CES offers a free shuttle from area hotels, but the first morning of the show, we also waited in line for close to an hour. If you are attending CES and have appointments, be sure to allow yourself at least an hour to get down The Strip.

I would suggest bringing a coffee or bottle of water to enjoy while waiting in line. The air in Las Vegas is very dry.

Here’s a quick video we livestreamed with the Nokia N8 while on the shuttle bus using Qik, one of the apps downloaded from the Ovi Store. You can also read about my first impression of CES.

This is my CES perspective, thanks to Nokia.
