Let’s do lunch and maybe even dinner!  Houston Restaurant Weeks (HRW) begins today and continues through September 1, 2014. Restaurants roll out their best dishes for a fixed price.  The multi-course meals cost $20 for a 2-3 course lunch, $25 for a 3 course brunch, and either $35 or $45 for a 3-4 course dinner.

Run by volunteers, 100% of the proceeds goes to the Food Bank.  Last year’s event raised a whopping $1.2 million.

The participating restaurants are located in the Uptown Galleria area, busy downtown, and trendy Midtown, as well as, the outlying Woodlands, Sugar Land and Galveston.

Promoted as a “reservation only” event, some restaurants do accept walk-ins.  To find a complete list of participating restaurants and their menus, visit www.houstonrestaurantweeks.com.

Patrons can choose from 200 restaurants.  Try the healthy comfort food at the local favorite–benjy’s or go to the intimate Cinq at Colombe d’Or for European fare.  Enjoy old World elegance at Damian’s Cucina Italiana or South American cuisine at Latin Bites.  Wherever you choose to eat, you can feel good about contributing to a worthy cause.
