Follow the Adventure #InThailand

Baton Rouge. Atlanta. New York City. Hong Kong. Chiang Mai. Bangkok.

These are all the airports I’ll be visiting through next week. My ultimate destination? Thailand.

The Tourism Authority of Thailand has invited me to go along on an adventure with @ThailandInsider to discover some of the highlights the country has to offer. I’ll be sharing moments along the way, giving readers and friends a glimpse into a few of the attractions, destinations, and the culture of Thailand as seen through my eyes. I’m excited.

The grand finale of my experience will be a chance to watch the Royal Kathin Barge Procession, which is reserved for national auspicious occasions and has only occurred 16 times during the reign of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej. The origins of the royal barge procession date from the reign of King Rampkhamhaeng (reign 1275-1316 AD).
