American Photo Safari Workshop at Houmas House {Giveaway}
Photos are an important part of travel that not only document our memories, but tell a story. An American Photo Safari workshop is a New Orleans based company offering the opportunity to not only document your visit to Louisiana, but also offers tips on how to take the best photos on your next vacation. The workshops are for photographers of all skill levels and provide one-on-one instruction in a variety of beautiful settings.
Currently, American Photo Safari offers two half-day workshops:
French Quarter – Explore the French Quarter with a professional photographer while learning how to to take great photos. The workshop begins at Jackson Square and meanders through the French Quarter.
Houmas House Experience – Enjoy the hospitality of a Louisiana plantation while taking photos of the grounds and gardens. The workshop includes a guided tour of this historic home and personal instruction on photography throughout the day.
TravelingMamas.com and American Photo Safari would like to give one reader the chance to win a Houmas House Experience workshop for two people (a $258 value). The workshop includes pickup in New Orleans and the full Houmas House Experience, as offered on AmericanPhotoSafari.com. The winner will have six months to redeem their workshop.

When we travel, we take a Canon 1Ds Mark II with multiple lenses. We also have a Canon powershot we can put in our pockets, and we both have iphones we use for photos.
I can’t wait to take part in a Photo Safari and would love to visit Houmas House. I would be using my Canon Rebel XSi.
We actually visited Louisiana, for the first time, this past April. I so fell in love with Louisiana and would have loved to have stayed even longer. We were there for 3 days and tried to see and do as much as we could. So much culture and history. I took tons of photos and I used my daughter’s camera, a Kodak Easy Share, and took some awesome shots. Personally, I’ve been using an HP 735 Photosmart (3.2 MP) 🙁 I’ve been saving for a Minolta or Canon, so for now, I’ll be using my daughter’s camera until I can afford a new one. 🙂
I love the idea of a photo safari! I use a Fuji S2 when traveling.

My wife and I love to travel and our work affords us that opportunity. Very generous friends set me up with a Canon 40D. I bought my wife a Canon SD1300IS as she is all about portability and simplicity! Love the APS site and opportunities. thanks so much for hosting this contest.
All the best!
Just checking back to see if you have a winner.
