voco Sandpiper All-Inclusive Resort Review (Florida): A Fresh New Family Getaway Worth Watching

A rare U.S.-based all-inclusive resort that delivers an easy, passport-free escape for families and couples alike.

Sometimes the best getaways are the ones you don’t overthink.

What started as a quick overnight escape turned into a genuinely pleasant surprise at voco Sandpiper All-Inclusive Resort. Tucked along Florida’s coast and still in its early phases, this newly opened resort offers a fresh take on the all-inclusive experience… one that’s easy, relaxed, and family-friendly without feeling overwhelming. And perhaps one of its biggest draws? It’s one of the few all-inclusive resorts in the United States, meaning no passport required and no need to hop on a plane (unless you want to). We checked in curious, and left already talking about when we might return.

Arrival & First Impressions

Getting to voco Sandpiper All-Inclusive Resort was refreshingly simple. Just a quick turn off the highway, a drive through a quiet residential area, and suddenly…vacation mode.

The gated entrance set the tone immediately. A friendly guard welcomed us with genuine warmth and directed us to the portico for unloading. While valet service isn’t currently available, parking is easy and convenient.

At check-in, we were given a resort map and a daily activities schedule… always a small but meaningful touch that helps guests settle in quickly. Even with a temporary lobby in place during this phase of construction, everything felt polished, organized, and very much “resort ready.”

First impression? Warm, easy, and unmistakably vacation-forward.

Property Overview

Set across 150 acres (with 50 currently in use as the resort), voco Sandpiper is very much a resort in evolution, having opened in January 2026.

Everything feels fresh, because it is. Newly planted tropical landscaping, clean lines, bright paint, and thoughtfully designed pathways create a lively yet relaxed environment.

One thing that stood out: space.
Even with a full house, the layout allows for both energy and escape. You’ll find lively pool scenes alongside quieter pockets perfect for unwinding.

The overall vibe leans:

  • Family-friendly
  • Casual and social
  • Relaxed, not overly polished

And importantly…it already works, even in its early phase.

Rooms & Accommodations

Room options are intentionally simple:

  • King room (sleeps up to 4)
  • Two-bedroom suite (sleeps up to 6)

We stayed in a King water view room, and it delivered exactly what you want from a coastal getaway: light-filled, comfortable, and functional.

Highlights:

  • Private balcony with water views
  • Daybeds + table seating (great for families)
  • Mini fridge + Keurig-style coffee maker
  • Large closet (ideal for beach gear and swimsuits)

Everything, from mattresses to finishes, felt brand new. The bathroom was spotless, with strong water pressure and reliable hot water (always worth noting).

Good to know:
You may hear faint live music in the evening depending on room location, but it adds to the ambiance more than it disrupts.

Dining & Drinks

As an all-inclusive resort, meals and beverages are included. But currently, dining is still in its early phase.

Right now:

  • Riverside Market (buffet) for breakfast, lunch, and dinner
  • Coffee bar for specialty drinks
  • Main bar serving burgers and casual bites at set times
  • Poolside bars during prime swim hours

The buffet setup will feel familiar to cruise travelers (hello, Lido deck vibes), and it’s dependable and convenient.

Looking ahead:
Three additional restaurants and more poolside dining options are expected in upcoming phases, which will significantly elevate the culinary experience.

Pools, Beach & Activities

The pool scene is where this resort really comes alive.

Current offerings:

  • Family pool
  • Adults-only infinity pool
  • Poolside bars
  • Towels provided

We opted for the adults-only pool, which was lively but still enjoyable. Even at capacity (with a mix of overnight guests and ResortPass day visitors), we were able to find chairs and an umbrella.

Other highlights:

  • Non-motorized water sports included
  • Motorized options available for an extra fee
  • Small beach area (best for relaxing, not swimming)
  • Splash pad coming soon for younger guests

There’s a strong emphasis here on active, memory-making travel, especially for families.

Experience & Atmosphere

Even in just one night, the experience felt complete.

Our favorite moment?
Sitting in Adirondack chairs in the sand at sunset…watching families stroll by, listening to laughter carried on the breeze.

Later, we wandered over to the live music area, soaking in the easygoing energy before heading back to our room.

It’s the kind of place that doesn’t try too hard, and that’s exactly why it works.

Final Thoughts: Is voco Sandpiper Worth It?

For a resort still in its early phases, voco Sandpiper is already delivering a strong value for a Florida all-inclusive experience.

What we loved:

  • Easy, welcoming arrival
  • Fresh, clean, newly opened feel
  • Family-friendly without feeling chaotic
  • Adults-only pool option
  • Included activities and watersports
  • Convenience of included meals and cocktails

What to keep in mind:

  • Dining options are currently limited (for now)
  • Some construction/expansion is ongoing
  • Popular areas (like the pool) can get busy

Bottom line:
This is a resort to enjoy now—and to watch as it evolves. I’ll absolutely be returning once future phases are complete.

Don’t Miss This Tip 💡

Grab a drink and head to the Adirondack chairs at sunset. It’s one of the simplest (and most memorable) experiences on property.
