Hyatt’s Big Welcome Back Free Night Giveaway
At Traveling Mamas, we’re big fans of loyalty clubs and their perks. I personally, have a wallet full of those plastic little cards from hotels and airlines around the world. Loyalty clubs are a great way to earn upgrades and free nights for a family vacation or romantic getaway.
Last year Traveling Mamas assisted Hyatt Hotels in getting the word out about their Big Welcome Gold Passport promotion. In order to spread the Hyatt love, we gave away complimentary nights to a few of our readers. This year, they’re doing it again, with The Big Welcome Back and we’re excited to let our readers know about Hyatt’s Gold Passport promotion.
Hyatt Gold Passport recently announced The Big Welcome Back promotion, which encourages guests to make the most of their travel by giving members a choice to earn one free night award or 5,000 Hyatt Gold Passport bonus points after every two stays through June 30, 2010. Free night awards can be enjoyed without blackout dates between April 1 and August 31, 2010, and bonus points can be redeemed any time toward free nights, upgrades or airline miles.
As part of Hyatt’s commitment to making guests feel more than welcome with each and every stay, The Big Welcome Back was designed to make it easier than ever to return to Hyatt for a complimentary stay. There is no limit to the number of free nights and bonus points a member can earn during this promotional period. Guests who travel once each week could potentially earn a full week’s stay for a summer vacation.
“The Big Welcome Back demonstrates our sincere passion for delivering the absolute best travel experience in the world,” said Jeff Zidell, vice president, Hyatt Gold Passport. “Whether traveling frequently or infrequently, this promotion gives our members the opportunity to come back and visit one of Hyatt’s great hotels around the world sooner than they ever thought possible. After all, the only thing better than welcoming our guests is welcoming them back.”
The free night awards or bonus points earned during this promotion are in addition to the Gold Passport points members earn for their stay. All free nights must be redeemed by August 31, 2010. There is no expiration date for Gold Passport bonus points. For full details read the Hyatt Big Welcome Back promotion release.
Hyatt has offered a few bloggers two free nights in order to experience first-hand the Hyatt hospitality. I plan on taking my kids to the destination of their choice (within reason) sometime this summer. It wouldn’t be fair for me to get the chance to experience a Hyatt without giving some of YOU the chance to do so, as well. That’s why Hyatt is offering two nights to two readers of TravelingMamas.com.
How to win? First, go sign up for your Hyatt Gold Passport account. While you’re on the Hyatt site, browse around at the options of where to stay and come back here leaving a comment stating where you would use your two nights. That’s all! Be sure to leave your comment before 11:59 pm May 12, 2010. One entry per email address. Bonus entry for tweeting (just leave tweet status as different comment). Must be 18 year or older. Winners will be announced sometime after the close of the contest. Winners chosen randomly through Random.org.
Winner update: Travelers Barista won with a tweet entry and Marilyn L who wants to visit Florida, New York, or Las Vegas with her free nights. Congratulations to both of you and make lasting travel memories!
I would use my two nights for a stay at the Grand Hyatt in NYC
Hyatt Kauai. This would be our third time going to the Garden Island. What better way to spend it – hiking the nearby cliff trail overlooking Keoneloa Bay, snorkeling off Poipu Beach, relaxing on Shipwreck Beach, dining at one of the Hyatt’s restaurants, and unwinding in our ocean view room. I’m packing my bags now!

I’d spend my 2 free nights at either Waikiki, Maui, or Kauai. I’ll be there in June =)
Maui would be awesome cuz I’d go to their luau (the best on the island) and then relax right after the festivities without going far

My husband and I will be spending our anniversary in New York. It would be incredible to stay at the Grand Hyatt in NYC. Of course I wouldn’t rule out a trip to Atlanta either.
Hyatt Regency Cancun. After all the Cinco de Mayo celebrations, why not keep the party going in Mexico? Never been and its a must! Gives a great excuse to plan a trip 😉
What a cool promo. I would love to check out (and write about) the new Hyatt at Olive 8 in Seattle. I’m really intrigued by the property’s eco-friendly and sustainable approach. I hope other hotels follow their lead. Way to go Hyatt.
I would spend my two nights in Milan, Italy. I’d enjoy the shopping, of course! I also looked at the Park Hyatt in Milan and it looks fabulous!
I’d use mine for Chicago…always wanted to go there. 🙂

It would not matter where I used mine, just to be able to have some alone time with my husband.
I’m already a member and would use the nights at the Hyatt in Orlando.
We’d probably use it to get out of the heat during the summertime, so we’d probably use it at a Hyatt near the beach — perhaps either the Hyatt Regency Newport Beach or the Hyatt Regency La Jolla
We are taking a trip to the Midwest this summer, so we might use it at the Park Hyatt Chicago or the Hyatt Regency Chicago
I would visit the Hyatt Summerfield Suites Chicago/Schaumburg
so that I could spend some time with my daughter, her wonderful husband and my new granddaughter!
Two nights in a Hyatt,,,,,pure bliss. With my children being in sports, we are unable to go away during the school year. I would take my family to NYC, as we have never been there. We could drive and make an adventure out of it. The best times of my life are the wonderful memories we create when we go on a vacation.
NYC….pure bliss anytime I can go away with my family. We have never been and could drive there. Getting 2 nights for free would actually make a getaway a reality…..we haven’t been on vacation for years because of kids sports and budgets.
I would use that in my next vacation to NYC…

I’d spend my two free nights at the Hyatt Regency in Cambridge, MA. We are moving back to Europe after three very happy years here, and would love the chance to stay at the Hyatt before we leave (and while our furniture is already gone).

I would spend my two nights at the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress in Orlando.
Already a member. We would like to stay in LA.
I would use it to stay somewhere near the beach! Maybe the Grand Hyatt Tampa Bay.
My family and I didn’t take a summer vacation last year as I was diagnosed with cancer. I’m almost finished chemo and would love to take my husband and my 8 year old son to the wonderful city of Chicago in late July for a vacation. My preference would be the Park Hyatt or the Hyatt Regency McCormick Place.
I’d love a chance to win those two nights, but I’m traveling until the beginning of July, then have only till the end of August to get ready for the next bout of long term travel. But I hope they go to somene who hardly ever gets a chance to travel. The more people we can turn on to the joy of traveling, the better!
Ooooh, fun! I would stay in Orlando, so my husband and I could have a weekend alone 🙂
Hill Country Hyatt

I would love to stay at the Hyatt Coconut Plantation in Bonita Springs, Fl.
