New Orleans is one of the top music destinations in the world, along with being a culinary destination. When you put together good food and good music, you can’t go wrong. This fall, the Second Harvest Food Bank of New Orleans and Acadiana will be hosting the Harvest the Music Concert Series in Lafayette Square. These free concerts are held each Wednesday at 5:00PM beginning September 14, 2011 and ending on November 2, 2011. The free concerts are made possible by Hancock Bank and Whitney Bank.
If you are in the New Orleans area during this time, take advantage of the free entertainment and sample the delicious cuisine sold onsite from local favorites including: Ye Old Kettle Cooker, Martin Wine Cellar, Crêpes á la Cart, Miss Linda’s Soul Food Catering, Lil Dizzy’s Café, Lucy’s Retired Surfers Bar & Restaurant, Oceana Restaurant, and Squeal, and the Second Harvest Food Bank Community Kitchen. An artists’ village will feature artwork and crafts from regional artists and designers, all available for purchase.
