Alamo Launches New Website {plus reader Giveaway}

Recently, Alamo re-launched their website with their brand new Alamo Deal Retriever system to make finding the best Alamo car rental deal more efficient and affordable for you and your family. The Alamo Deal Retriever searches all valid Alamo deals and coupons on the web to find the best rates to meet customers’ needs and instantly offers customers the best deals that apply to their upcoming trips.

  1. I thought the Deal Retriever was easy to use and quick. It pulled up a 10% discount and upgrade for me, when I entered information for the road trip we might take this spring (to Disney, FL ) with our kids.

  3. I like Deal Retriever. I can sign up for deals and automatically save 10%, plus the search feature is easy to use, exactly like booking flights.

  5. I like how non-cluttered it is! I get confused easily! lol I don’t plan on taking a road trip this year.. but hopefully we can sneak in a little get away 🙂

  6. I think the site is nice and easy to use. It reminds me a lot of other travel sites, which I find very convenient when quickly pricing out a trip. We have a road trip this summer to the Alabama beach areas. 🙂

  10. I looked up a deal for a trip to Kauai in August. It didn’t really get me a “deal” just a free upgrade which you usually get in Hawaii anyway because they don’t stock many compact cars.

  11. I like the deal locator because I always get overwhelmed sifting thru all the various coupon codes that are for XYZ type car or 123 day trips or valid only in Timbuktu. This way I can see what coupon codes apply to where and when I’m going!

  12. I looked up a deal to rent out of Portland in July for a family reunion. It offered me 10% off to sign up for Alamo insiders or a free upgrade. Same rewards as the last search I tried. We are not planning any big road trips this summer but maybe a few long weekends from home.

  16. We are planning on two road trips during the summer one is educational (D.C) and the other is relaxation (myrtle beach, sc) and like that the new sites makes it easy to find the closest location and gives you a choice of deals to fit your needs

  17. We are thinking of using our time share to trade for Mexico this spring and I didn’t realize Alamo rented there. They even gave me a 20% offer with the deal retriever. Pretty good!

  18. This was my first time on the site and I thought it was easy peasy! 😀 We’ll definitely consider them on a future trip too! Cute webdesign and very easy; not a bunch of extra stuff you don’t need!

  19. We have friends coming to visit us this summer and will need to rent a car for the week visit. They can get $10 off a week day or weekend rental from the deal finders page. They could also get 10% off for signing up for the alamo insiders.

  20. We did a road trip last summer with our two toddlers. It was 17 hours each way and a bit looong! I think we would do it again though and I looked at the deal finder to check out an alamo deal. They offered a free single upgrade and a 10% off coupon.

  27. I like how user friendly it is! I’m planning a road trip to a friend’s wedding in Michigan this summer… I’ll be needing a rental car!

  29. I really like the idea of it and it certainly makes me think of Alamo in a more positive way. We are planning a road trip later this year which I admit I am slightly dreading because my children are only 20 months and four.

  30. I played “dream vacation” for Italy and discovered alamo deal finder has some good options. They offer deductible free and 15% off plus free additional driver. Not bad!
